OUR GOAL: A MILLION MORE

Eyes of Hope initiatives provide immediate access to eye exams and glasses for individuals in need, support optometrists delivering eye care to those in need globally, and improve sustainable access to eye care. In 2016, we reached a milestone by providing access to eye care for 1 million people in need, and we’ve committed to helping a #MillionMore by 2020.

Optometry Giving Sight

Optometry Giving Sight

More than a billion people around the world don’t have access to the eye care or eyewear they need, often simply because there aren’t enough trained eye care personnel. To help fund sustainable solutions, VSP partnered with other industry leaders on the World Sight Day Challenge Coalition to benefit Optometry Giving Sight.

Tyreke Evans Community Outreach

Tyreke Evans: Chester Community Outreach

Since 2010, VSP Mobile Eyes has been visiting Tyreke's home town of Chester, PA, to provide access to eye care for residents and, in 2012, adopted the city to increase access to eye care, connect with local students, and emphasize the importance of good vision. From 2014 to 2016, Tyreke and a VSP Global team also hosted nearly 400 kids in grades 4-12 for a free basketball camp. The students received backpacks with school supplies and learned about the importance of a good education and following your passion.
